Caroline’s Kitchen

I believe that the kitchen is the heart of the home. It’s where guests always gather, where the family has those late-night conversations over bowls of ice cream, and it’s where the sweetest memories are made. It is also where the food is! It doesn’t matter if your kitchen is small, large, richly decorated, or shabby. It’s the kitchen, the heart of the home.

It is in the Kitchen where I have ‘held court’ for many years. I find my “Zen” chopping vegetables and melting butter. If I’m depressed I make something for someone. I melt butter, add some chocolate, pour in the sugar, and whip up some egg whites. If I’m worried about something, upset, and need to get it all out – watch out if you’re an onion!

I must say I have made some truly terrible dishes, and I have made some really exceptional ones. After years of learning, reading, and studying I’ve learned a few things. I read cookbooks like novels and follow good food bloggers like a fangirl.

One of my pet peeves is looking up a recipe and having so much ‘junk’ to scroll through I despair that the recipe is actually good. I also can’t stand recipes that don’t work, aren’t family-friendly, and are a waste of time. All of my recipes here are from My Kitchen. Tested. Tried and True.

If you are another Blogger with the same standards as me, leave me your website address and I’ll follow you.
